Dear Fukushima

The coming up Bangkok film festival there's recommended documentary film which talk about the Nuclear disaster occurred in Japan in 2011, one of my Japanese friend tried to describe the on-going situation through one man eyes, who keep find the way out for his beloved hometown. "Dear Fukushima" You could enjoy the film at Esplanade theatre on 21th and 24th November 2012, and meet the my friend, film directer there on both days, check out the details here 

ในวันศุกร์ที่ 11 เดือนมีนาคมเมื่อปีที่ผ่านมา

นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ผมเริ่มที่จะมองเห็นสิ่งใหม่ๆ บนโลก รวมไปถึงชีวิตตัวเองและคุณค่าจากมุมมองที่ไม่เคยสัมผัสมาก่อน

เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในญี่ปุ่นวันนั้น มันอาจเป็นสิ่งที่ยากจะเข้าใจ แต่มันคือเรื่องจริงที่ถาโถมเข้ามาอย่างรวดเร็วจนต้านรับไม่ทัน

แล้วอะไรล่ะ? คือสิ่งที่จะรับประกันอนาคตของชาวฟูกุชิมะ?

พวกเขาจะสามารถกลับมามีชีวิตชีวาเฉกเช่นวันก่อนโศกนาฏกรรมครั้งนั้นได้หรือเปล่า?

ย้อนกลับไปมองถึงความหายนะจากนิวเคลียร์ครั้งที่ใหญ่ที่สุดซึ่งวิบัตขึ้นในปี 1986 ณ เมือง Chernobyl

ผมตัดสินใจเดินทางไปหาคำตอบให้กับความสงสัยของตัวเองที่นั่น…

อะไรคือคำตอบที่ผมได้รับ ซึ่งมีความหมายกับอนาคตของเมืองฟูกุชิมะ? ในทุกวันนี้ชาวเมืองเหล่านั้นมีชีวิตเช่นไร?

พวกเขามีวิธีในการป้องกันกัมมันตภาพรังสีอย่างไร? อะไรเกิดขึ้นกับโรงงานนิวเคลียร์ในวันนั้น?

อะไรคือผลกระทบระยะยาวจากที่ได้รับจากอุบัติเหตุในครั้งนั้น?

ผมอยากที่จะเข้าไปเห็นด้วยสายตาคู่นี้

เผื่อว่า...มันอาจมีทางออกสำหรับเมืองฟูกุชิมะ

แน่นอนว่ามันไม่ใช่การย้อนเวลาเพื่อกลับไปแก้ไขความเสียหายที่ได้เกิดขึ้นไปแล้ว

เราไม่มีทางเลือกนอกจากการก้าวไปข้างหน้าต่อไป...

This was the day I began to look at the world, my life and values from a completely new perspective.
What happened in Japan that day seemed incomprehensible but suddenly became so real.
What does the future hold for the residents of Fukushima?
Will they ever be able to return to life before the tragedy?
Will they ever find their way out of this long dark tunnel?
The largest nuclear disaster took place in Chernobyl in 1986.
I traveled to Chernobyl to find the answers to my questions.
What would I discover about the future of Fukushima? How do people live there now?
How have they dealt with the radiation? What is happening at the nuclear power plant?
What are the long term effects of the accident?
I wanted to see for myself.
Perhaps I would find a solution for Fukushima.
It is impossible to turn back the clock and change the past.
We have no other choice but to move forward.
